A value is an inherent universal need, important to life and living, and which people strive to meet. BHS espouses and attempts to uphold values of:

The staff of BHS will at all times, through their action and behaviour, uphold the dignity of individuals and communities.

Equity demands affirmative action towards the marginalized, disadvantaged and alienated. Such affirmative action will be reflected in BHS’s vision, mission, norms, policies and practice.
